Seat’s first diesel-fueled Cupra is discounted now, estimated £16,000. The Leon TDi PD Cupra follows the lead of affiliated business Skoda’s Fabia vRS with an oil-consuming hot lid, for this situation controlled by the Volkswagen Group’s solid 1.9-liter pumpe düse turbodiesel.

With 148bhp and a weighty 236lb ft of force sent through a six-speed ‘box, the TDi Cupra runs from 0-60mph in 8.9sec – 0.9sec short of the petroleum Cupra – and on to a maximum velocity of 134mph, 2mph quicker than the petroleum vehicle. And all with 52.3mpg joined economy.

Huge guards, a rooftop spoiler, network grille, chrome exhaust and 17in compounds recognize the outside, while the lodge acquires sports seats, white dials, a calfskin wheel, an on-board PC, environment control and a six-CD stacker.
